SOUTHORN Tigers had a great February, even they might still have much to improve as team. Despite two poor performances, Tigers win all two games in the month in SBL and improved to 2-1. After a 44:43 victory over Chung Sing, when there are three players with double-digit scoring (Ben Cheng 12,  Benny 11 and Wing 10), they have three players rebounded in double figures (Terence 12, Ray 11, Ben Cheng 10) in a 46:38 overtime victory over Challengers.

G.T. Explorers had only one game in the month, and were beaten 34:38 by Trojans. Van Law had 15 points and Kit added 10 rebounds and six points, but they failed to defend Jerry and Michael who combined for 27 points. After the loss, they dropped to 0-3 and will face a even tough stretch in the remaining of the season, against SAMURAI, H.F.C. and Dream Team.

SAMURAI had also only a single-game month in February, but lost 26-28 against the division-leading Photons. Eric Ngai scored 8 points and rebound apiece, Chi Chiu Au had 7-6-2 in the meeting. But they failed to tie the game in the final seconds after Kelvin Ng failed to finish a 3-point play.

M.I.B. was idle in February, and will have two (animal) games in March, the first against Wild Beasts and followed by SOUTHORN Tigers.
