Benson Kwong sprained his ankle just less than a couple of possessions into the game, left the game briefly, returned and finished the game strong by 11 points and 8 boards. D.S.F. finished the second half strong and edged T-REX in a 30-29 victory and remained unbeaten, tying Photons (3-0) at the top of FLIGHT Division.

After Michael Chan tied the game at four for D.S.F. in the first period, Wing Kit Tang added five points for T-REX as they led 9-4 into the second period.

Vincent Siu and Chung Ming Mok combined for all the team’s eight points in the second period and maintained four-point advantage into the break.

After a basket by Chris Chan for a 6-point lead, the biggest for T-REX, D.S.F. did not lost their composure and took a 11-0 run, including 5 points from Benson Kwong and six from Michael Chan. Chi Yip Wong became the only other T-REX to score in the period after his four points cut the lead by opponent to 24-22 before the end of the 3rd period.

Mike Tse and Benson combined for four points and re-gain a six-point lead before they went for a scoring drought. T-REX took advantage in that span.

Vincent Siu scored six of the final seven points for the team and took a 29-28 lead again before Michael Chan, who had 10 points, 5 boards and four steals, calmly made both free throws which were then the game winner giving their third win in a row.

Benson needed ice for his ankle after the game and is doubtful for the next game on March 30 against the top-tying Photons.

Ryan Lee came to the game late, dressed but did not play.

T-REX was 10 on 19 at the line. D.S.F. was 4 on 7.
