Entering the game unbeaten, Photons looked simply flat while GRIZZ were playing their best basketball in the season for a 44-29 victory and topped the Division also with a 4-1 overall record.

After a close first period with four lead changes when the game was tied for two other times, Photons were down by just three.

However, the game never look close again when seeing Jason Tong being the only scorer in the second period, who had only two points. His basket cut the lead to 10-15, but GRIZZ used a 6-0 spurt for a 21-10 halftime lead.

Three more goals by GRIZZ extended the lead to 27-10. Tony Chow hit a three-point shot and Rocky Woo added two points to end the period with a 32-15 lead.

Leo Chow hit from deep early in the final period, helped to build a 22-point lead, the biggest in the game.

Cherry Tsui scored all her eight points in the final eight minutes, including two treys before Photons lost its first game of the season.

Tl Li missed both free throws after Rocky Woo was called for an unsportsmanlike foul near the end of the third period.

Averaged 12 points in the past four games this season, Harris Wong scored only four points off the bench but added three assists and two steals. Ming Yan Tsui had ten points, five steals and two dimes but was one rebound shy for a double-double.

Ka Wai Fu returned to star-form performance with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. He finished 5-for-8 field goals and made both free throws. Tony Chow added 10 points and Raymond Pak, who also set a league record of six blocked shots, scored 8 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Cherry, who made 13 three-pointers in her first season in SBL, followed by 7 in eight games in previous season, had made only two in four games entering Sunday.

Harris was 19-for-21 at the line this season before he missed both attempts on Sunday.

GRIZZ secured at least a third place in the division and can take number one should they win next game against H.F.C. on May 17.
