Tigers defeat Explorers, become First Champion

SOUTHORN Tigers, after a huge loss to SAMURAI in the season opener, concluded the first season of SOUTHORN BASKETBALL LEAGUE with four straight victories and became the first champion of this league after beating G.T. Explorers 25-17 on 2006 August 25 at Smithfield Sports Centre.
SAMURAI, lead by 13 points from Michael Chan, took a 49-31 victory over M.I.B. and become the 2nd Runner Up of this very first season of the association.
