A new jersey can’t help a team without the top scorers. M.I.B. are finally really in black, having their black jersey ready in the third game but Jefferson Tong, Adrian Chow, their leaders in points and rebound, both didn’t attend the game.

Gilbert Fu, the team captain, and Samson Tong were also absent. M.I.B. forward Ben Cheng, started at centre in his season debut, scored 10 points before getting his fifth and final foul in the 4th period. Despite missed the only two free throws, he shoot 5-12 and grabbed 2 rebounds and 2 steals.

Played only six players, however, they lead 9-5 in the first period as Ben Cheng and Bryan Lo combine 4-5 shooting and Stanley Ma made one of the two free throws. It was Dennis Chang who took over the game in the second period. He scored the first 5 points for his team in the period as M.I.B. was forced to rest Ben Cheng in the depleted lineup.

Dennis Change scored 18 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and has one assist and one steal. He now leads the league’s scoring at 11 points per game.

While Ben Cheng is resting on the bench with two fouls in the 3rd period, Cheung Lau grabbed an offensive rebound before falling to the floor, but was called for a travelling. Even the result may be decided when SAMURAI was already leading 38-17 entering the final period, M.I.B. didn’t give up and they once reduce the lead to just 10 points with 2 miunutes left in the game, after Leo Chow made a three-point shot. Dennis Chang scored all the 5 points of this team in the last period as M.I.B. couldn’t get any closer.

Kwan Ho Yu attended the game but did not dress. Michale Chan missed the game for the second time. Eric Leung has his left shoulder hurt in the second period but played in the second half.

The teams combined a league high 38 turnovers in a single game. They have 12 in just the first period. Eric Leung, Jackie Lai from SAMURAI and Leo Chow from M.I.B. have 5 turnovers each. M.I.B. has eleven steals as a team, all starters has at least one. They will rank number 3 and face SOUTHORN Tigers in the Semi-final if G.T. Explorers lost in the same night.
