For the first time in the season when there are more than nine G.T. Explorers dressed, they scored only 9 points. H.F.C. shot 7-11 from the field, outscored the Explorers 17-2 in just the first period, and they continue to run an 11-2 second period to put the game in the fridge at just the half time break. 17 points is the most points scored in the first period by any team and it tied the league record in any period dated June 25 by the SAMURAI against the SOUTHORN Tigers. 28 is also the most points scored by halftime and only second to the 31 points by SAMURAI in that same game against the Tigers. And the H.F.C. routed the Explorers without their start Tabo Chak, the leading scorer of the league. H.F.C. forward scored a game high 16 points. All but one players from the H.F.C. scored, while the Explorers had only four players with points. Explorer Frankie Chan is the only player had gone to the line for his team in the evening but he made only one, which is his only point. Angus Chan lead all Explorers by 4 points. The forward added five rebounds and one assist but committed four turnovers. Explorers star Michael Killeen, who was injured, attended the game in street clothes.
