Two missed easy layups in the final minute cannot shadow Tabo Chak’s 17 points. The league’s leading scorer made all his five foul shots and scored 7 points in the final period to edge T-REX for his team’s third straight victory.

Nikko Kwok had four points in the first period and three other players scored for H.F.C. as they lead 9-4 entering the second period, when they were significantly cooled down.

T-REX guard Michael Wu scored all his seven points in the second period, teammate Chris Chan made one three-point shot and the team allowed only four points from H.F.C. as they outscored the opponent 16-4 before half time. Two players scored for H.F.C., Tabo Chak made two free throws and Ken Wong scored two points.

H.F.C. need not to worry about the seven-point deficit.

Colin Wong scored two points on fast-break but missed the and-1 that could tie the game. T-REX guard Kevin Hui hit a jumper and made one of two free throws to put the lead back to four at 27-23.

Tabo Chak answered by two points and teammate Nikko Kwok made both team foul shots before the period end to tie it at 27 entering the final period, when Tabo Chak carried his team again.

Tabo Chak hit two free throws, followed by a three-point play that give the team a 32-27 advantage. But T-REX responded quick by two baskets from Vincent Siu and Ka Ming Leung cut it to 31-32 before they could not score again.

Nikko Kwok made one more field goal, Colin Wong and Tabo Chak scored three more points and H.F.C. won for the second time in three games when the game was tied entering the 4th period.

Three T-REX had four fouls and the whole team had 23 fouls.

H.F.C. made about half of their foul shots. They were sent to the line for 29 times, the most for any team in a single game in league history. T-REX had only nine.

Tabo Chak was 9-11 at the line, tied the most free throw made by a player. Michael Chan made 9-10 in a Semi-Final loss to G.T. Explorers in the league’s first season. Colin Wong missed 7 of the 9 from the charity strip but added 4 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a game high five steals.
