Kenny Li and Wild Beasts did not want the game in overtime.

With about 3 seconds left, Kim Fung Chan hit a game-tying free throw before missing the next, Dream Team failed to protect the board as Kenny Li grabbed the ball and put it to the basket as time expired. Wild Beasts took a 42-40 victory against Dream Team and drop them to a 2-2 record.

The game was close from the beginning and it was still within a point towards the end of the final period. Neither team has taken a lead more than three points.

Man Chun Chow hit a three-point shot followed by two points from Tsz Chun Ngai tie the game at 37. Jovi Yeung’s basket put Wild Beasts again to a two point lead with less than a minute left, but Ka King Wan made two foul shots to tie it again. Both teams did not score in the ensuing possessions until Ka King Wan added another free throw for a 40-39 Dream Team lead. Kim Fung Chan was fouled in the next possession with seconds left on the clock.

Kenn Li was hot all night, scored 21 points and ten rebounds. He missed only once on ten attempts at the charity stripe. Larry Ho added 10 boards and seven points.

Seung Lung Chin shot for three to tie the game at 10 in the first period before Larry Ho made a basket for a two-point lead by Wild Beasts at the end of the second period.

Chun Hong Tsoi and Hui Yin Sau led a 7-0 run for a five-point lead, the biggest margin by either team this game, before Wild Beasts needed a timeout. Kenny Li hit a pair of free throws followed by a basket and tie it at 17. He split a the next pair of foul shots for a lead before Hui Yin Sau put Dream Team back to a one-point advantage at half-time break.

The teams traded baskets and lead changes for times in the third period, and neither of them could get away.

At 160cm as stated, Seung Lung Chin led all Dream Team starters by seven rebounds. The fast guard had seven points, three dimes and two steals.

After an outstanding, combined 20 on 36 shooting in the previous match up, Seung Lung Chin, Man Chun Chow and Chung Hong Tsoi were only 9 on 30 this evening.

Tsz Chung Ngai added a team-high eight rebounds, four points, one steal and two blocked shots but committed eight turnovers. The whole team had 13.

Kim Fung Chan made his first attempt in the game, followed by seven misses until he hit the tying free throw.

Wild Beasts had scored more than 23 points only once since they joined the league. They had 31 against Challengers on April 29 in 2007.
