For the first time in four games, SOUTHORN Tigers did not trail they handed Chung Sing a 4th loss in 33-25 victory.

Chi Ho Yu failed to score the games’ first point by missing both foul shots but was the only player other than Lok Ming Sin to score in the period when Chung Sing had only four points. Dennis Chang scored 6 of his eleven points in the first period and led Tigers to a 11-4 first period. He added three more points to start the second period before Ken Leung hit a three-pointer for a 17-6 lead.

Lok Ming Sin scored seven of the team’s nine in the period and kept Chung Sing within four before the half-time break. He shot 4 on 9 from the floor in the first half, while the rest of Chung Sing combined for only two on eighteen. Elvin Tam, who had 23 points in the past three games, missed all his seven attempts in the first half.

Ben Tsang made his first field goal in the third period and William Leung added five points as Tigers had a 26-17 lead.

Kwan Ho Yu was fouled and hit on the floor by Ben Tsang late in the third period. The two exchanged words and Ben Tsang was tossed for a Technical foul. Kwan Ho Yu made both free throws and it was 26-19 entering the final period.

Benny Wong swished a jumper and Cindy Lee added two for a 30-19 lead to start the final period. Ray Chan grabbed his own miss for a second chance basket and added one more free throws for the final score of Tigers.

Lok Ming Sin and Elvin Tam added together six points in the final period.

Chi Wing Chow had his first field goal since July 15 against T-REX and his first points of the season. He had all his five attempts in the first period. Wilson Chow was scoreless for the first time in 24 games, since the very first game of the league. He attempted only once.

The teams combined for 29 three-point attempt, but made only two, none by Chung Sing. Both teams missed seven free throws each, and were combined for 8 on 22.

Lok Ming Sin had 13 points but need 16 attempts and made only six. He added eight boards, three steals and three blocked shots, two on Cindy Lee.

Chung Sing was out-rebounded 25-38.

The 25-33 loss is the 4th in a row for Chung Sing and put them on brink of elimination from the playoffs. They play Trojans on April 13 and T-REX on May 18, the final day before playoffs.
