Wing Kit Tang scored seven points and five boards, Chung Ming Mok added 6 points four boards and two assists and T-REX took a easy victory over the short-handed M.I.B. in a 34-18 season debut victory.

Tim Cheung split a pair of free throw and scored the game’s first single point, when the men in black were still smiling with the relax faces early in the first period. But they allowed six points and was only manage to two more points before the period end and was down by three at the time.

Frankie Lee hit a three-point shot and put the team to a 14-7 lead mid-way through the second period. After M.I.B. scored five points to cut the lead to two again, Wing Kit Tang hit a three-point shot and Chun Tung Hui concluded the first half with another basket as T-REX was 19-12 at half time.

M.I.B. played awful in the thrid period, when they missed all seven attempts from the floor, but allowed the nine points from T-REX. The 0-9 period put M.I.B. in a hole of 28-12 which they couldn’t come out.

Both teams scored six points down the stretch and T-REX, after losing the 3rd place game in previous season, went on for a 34-18 victory to begin 2008.

New M.I.B. centre Wai Keung Lee and Adrian Chou each added six points. Another new member Andy Li added three but was 1-16 from the field.

All twelve T-REX players took the floor and all but Vincent Siu, Chris Chan and Ted Chan did not score.

T-REX had 14 offensive rebounds, eight assists and seven steals.
