Lok Ming Sin hit 5-for-10 from the floor with two three-pointers en route to 15 points and helped Chung Sing to win a season début for the first time since they joined the League.

La Star, one of the three new teams this season,  scored the League’s first two points from two free throws in 2011.

But a three-pointer not only changed the lead but also started a eleven-to-zero run that put Chung Sing for a nine-point advantage in the first period, when SLM made all his four shots including two from beyond the arc.

After scoring the first five points of the next period, La Star cut the deficitto 13-17 later, while facing Chung Sing’s second unit. But Chung Sing would go on for seven more points and the 7-2 spurt maintained a 9-point advantage at half-time.

Jim Lung hit a three-point shot and Penny Yau scored three more points which capped a 6-0 run for La Star to start the second half and the lead was cut to only three points. La Star, however, could score only one more basket the rest of the third period but allowed Chung Sing to take a 28-23 cushion into the final period.

Five different players each scored two points for Chung Shing and put the team up 38-25, the biggest lead of the game.

Pong Poon and Huey Lin combined to made all three shots for La Star but no other teammates could score in the 4th period.
