Being another team with only seven players dressed in the same evening, V’s fought hard through foul trouble and just couldn’t avoid the team’s third straight loss as G.T. Explorers edged them 27-22 and took a good position for being the number one team in the division with a 3-0 record.

V’s started the game by a 4-0 run from Danny Law and Albert Chan before the Explorers comeback with five points and took a one-point lead into the second period.

After scoring four points in the first period, Ivan Choi added another five in the second. His first basket give the team a 7-4 advantage before V’s guard Nelson Ho tied it at 7. The Explorer made two free throws and put his team to a four-point lead again.

After V’s tied the game again at eleven, Nelson Ho hit a shot from deep to give V’s a three-point advantage entering the half time break.

V’s maintained the lead 17-14 after Alan Chan’s basket. But Tommy Wong capped a 6-2 run himself and regain the lead by one before the final period.

V’s forward Albert Chan hit a three-point shot and the team took the lead back again at 22-20, before they could not score again. Eddie Sze swished a jumper before Tommy Wong and Angus Chan made two baskets each. Ivan Choi made a final free-throw to seal the game.

Tommy Wong had a game-high ten points, added five boards, one steal and one block. Ivan Choi had eight points, 6-8 at the line.

Three V’s players had four fouls. The team reached 14 in the first three periods. G.T. Explorers had only six in the whole game.

V’s shoot less than 8-44, 3-13 from beyond the arc. After a perfect 5-5 in previous game, Crazy Ng was 0-4 with two points, four rebounds and one assist.

Michael Killeen was out of town and inactive. John Cahill and Nathan Bryant did not attend the game. Explorers’ guard Francisco Ferreira played his first game since the Season One Final.
