This season of SOUTHORN BASKETBALL LEAGUE comes to an end on August 5 at Smithfield Sports Centre after the 3rd Place Game, Final and Three-Point Shootout.

H.F.C. beat GRIZZ and became the champion of the season.

Tabo Chak scores 16, four rebounds and two assists as H.F.C. beat GRIZZ 35-21 and tasted the S.B.L. Championship on August 5. Nikko Kwok added six points and five rebounds. GRIZZ’s star Ka Wai Fu scored 12 points and 7 rebounds and Tony Chow added five from the bench while Leo Chow and Gary Chong combined to shoot 0-5 from the field and both fouled out.

Wilson Chow scored 13 points and rebounds apiece, including 8 of the final 10 points for SOUTHORN Tigers as they edged Photons 48-44 in the 3rd Place Game. Benny Wong bounce back from a scoreless Semi-Final and scored 13 points. Terence Chan added 9 from the bench. Photons forward Harris Wong topped the 20-point mark, including 13 in the third period. Cherry Tsui added 8 points, Lam Hop and Ivan Shiu both added six.

Ka Wai Fu, leading scorer of GRIZZ, who beat teammate Leo Chow in the 1-2-4-Point shoout, beat Marco Tse from H.F.C. in the final round and become the three-point shootout champio.
