Harris and his Photons is still unbeaten in three months.

Still searching for a second win this season, H.F.C. only dropped to 1-2 after being defeated by the division-leading Photons 34-28 under the atmosphere almost looking like a championship game. Harris Wong scored 15 points and was 7-for8 at the line to lead Photons past H.F.C. and improved to 4-0.

After a close first period, when Photons led 6-5, Harris scored 10 points in the second period. Ming Yan Tsui and Cherry Tsui each added two and Photons built a 20-12 lead at the half-time break.

Both team tensed up defense in the third period, while H.F.C. slowly come back to tie the game at 20-all. Photons managed to score on three foul shots in the period and they still maintained a three-point cushion.

Andy So, who opened the game for H.F.C.’s first three points, made his second trey in the game to cut the deficit at 28-30. Harris only calmly added two more free throws and Ming Yan scored two more points in the final minute for a 34-28 lead.

Alfred Lin was fouled with 10 more seconds left but missed both foul shots.

Ming Yan had 12 rebounds, three steals and one assists, but he was 3-for-14 from the field and missed all his six attempts from the line. Kennth Leung added two assists and three rebounds.

Photons made 10 of 22 free throws, in contrast, H.F.C. was 1-8 at the line.

Tabo Chak filled the box score with five points, 5 boards, six assists and three steals. Nikko Kwok scored a team-high 8 points and grabbed six rebounds. The two players combined for 12 of the team’s 20 turnovers.

Players were heated with body contacts and foul calls, referees needed to talk to captains from both teams to cool it down and the teams were fine again after that.

Four teams had only won one game in the competitive FORCE Division. H.F.C. (1-2) dropped to a tie with Dream Team, who also played only three games. SAMURAI (1-3), who lost to Trojans in the same eveing, G.T. Explorers (1-3).
