MA YING beat Dream Team in Semi-Final Re-Match

The defending champion led by double digits in the middle of the third period before Leo Chin (DRE #3) made consecutive three-pointers at the end of it and to start the final period as Dream Team cut the deficit to only 24-25. Leung Chun Yu Godwin (MAY #5) made sure MA YING to keep the lead with two three-pointers in the 4th period including the one for the final 39-32 score. The new player had a game-high 12 points and Danny Ho (MAY #9) and Otto Chan (MAY #2) each added a six. Chim Tsz Chiu (DRE #7) scored a team-high 11 points with 7-10 free throws and Leo added 10 for the second runner-up 2012. [ Game Page ]

Photons’ Comeback Fell Short, Lose to Spartans

Li Man Pan (PHO #25) made the team’s first basket but missed all his next 15 attempts from the field, in addition to all four missed free throws, until he made a 3-pointer that cut Spartans‘ lead to 30-26. Four lead changes to start the final period and Lok Wai Lun (SPN #2) scored the game’s next six points as Spartans led 28-21 in the middle of the 4th. Harris Wong (PHO #8) fouled out but was the only player in this game in double digit scoring, he scored seven of his game-high 13 points for Photons late in the third period that cut an 8-point deficit to only one at the end of the 3rd. [ Game Page ]

Dickson Lifts SAMURAI in 4th Period

Dickson Chau (SAM #7) completed a three-point play and added a three-point basket, scored six of his game-high 14 points in the final period a during a 11-0 run as SAMURAI handed new team The Expandables X a 20-28 loss. Ng Ka Kit (XPX #25) scored 12 points for the new team, which used an 11-2 spurt in the third period to gain a five-point lead that does not last. Avengers Edged GRIZZ and New Foreigners 44-37

GRIZZ got new face in Droste Stefan (GRI #41), who made 9 free throws and scored a game-high 15 points and nine rebounds while old face Roger Mahmud (GRI #32) returned from a injury, grabbed 13 points and 12 boards before foul out. Avengers overcame the disadvantage of size and a go-head basket from Micahel Lau (AVN #13) with twenty seconds more left took a lead for good as Avengers started their new season with a “W”. Leung Sai Man (AVN #7) scored a team-high ten points and 5 assists, Jerry Lee (AVN #9) made all six free throws and scored on a layup in the final minute for his eight points, which just made him the third 500-point player in the League. [ Game Page ]
